How to Calculate Your Golf Handicap
To calculate your golf handicap index, you typically need:
- Your adjusted gross score
- The course rating
- The slope rating
Our tool does all the math for you based on the USGA formula:
Handicap Differential = (Score – Course Rating) × 113 / Slope Rating
We use the best differentials (typically the lowest 8 of your most recent 20 rounds), average them, and multiply by 0.96 to estimate your index.
